The Fujinon XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS is the first short zoom lens in the Fujinon XF lens range. It covers a popular range of focal lengths and allows users to tackle a wide variety of subjects from landscapes with the 18mm wide-angle setting through to portraits at the 55mm telephoto end of the range. The lens structure itself is consists of 14 glass elements in 10 groups. These include 3 aspheric elements and 1 extra low dispersion element, which combine to reduce common optical faults (known as aberrations) and boost image quality. Furthermore, the 7 rounded aperture blades make for more attractive out of focus highlights (bokeh).
